Crispy Chocolate Peanut Bars Recipe

1/2 cupsmooth peanut butter (125 mL)
1/3 cupgolden corn syrup (75 mL)
1/4 cuphoney (50 mL)
1/3 cupHERSHEY'S Cocoa (75 mL)
1/4 cuppacked brown sugar (50 mL)
3 cupsminiature marshmallows (750 mL)
3 1/2 cupsrice crisps cereal (875 mL)
1 cuppeanuts (250 mL)
2 cupsCHIPITS Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (350 g)


    1. In a large saucepan, combine peanut butter, cocoa, corn syrup, brown sugar and honey. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth. Reduce heat to low.

    2. Add marshmallows and heat, stirring until smoothly melted. Remove from heat. Stir in cereal and peanuts.

    3. Press firmly into greased 9-inch (23 cm) square baking pan.

    4. In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in microwave on HIGH (100%) for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring until smooth. (May also be done in a small saucepan.) Spread evenly over bars. Let cool for 30 minutes until chocolate is set. Cut into bars.

    Makes 32 bars.
